בּוּבְיָא

בּוּבְיָאI m. (Syr. bubia sartago, P. Sm.; prob. = בי אפיא, פ softened through assimilation, cmp. תפייא a. בי תפי) a frying pan, sometimes used as a coal pan containing the coal over which things are roasted. Pes.30b האי בוב׳ (Ms. M. 2, Ms. Oxf. Ar. and old ed., v. Rabb. D. S. a. l. note 10); Zeb.95b (Ms. R. 1 מביא, corr. בו׳; Ms. K. בוכיא). Sabb.29a he threw the date stones לבוביא Ms. M. a. Ar. (Y.Bets.
